Learning Recovery                                                                                                                                                                     The learning recovery teacher coordinators for 2012-2013 school year are; Matt Bell, Jacob Rees, Chartina Voorheis, and Matt Melville. The teacher co-coordinators are paid a base amount of $100 per term, adding $20 per student’s recovered credits.  The “F” grade will remain on the transcript but the “P” will show they have passed the course. The Council is pleased at the progress this program is making and would like to continue to fund it.

Student Assistance

Evaluation of CRT Scores This did not happen. The money that was set aside will remain in the budget.

Testing
PLAN test – October 10
Per our agreement with the State, they will for the second and last time pick up one-half of the expense for the Sophomore PLAN testing which is the preliminary ACT test.
ASVAB – It is offered by the military.
The Council would like to see as many students as possible take this test, on the basis that it is free and is the best career assessment test out there.  Even though the students are not required to take this test the council members would like to make sure to get word to both parents and students of its importance.
(This would be one more reason to get the email communication going.)
